1. Give us a brief history of your company.

Bryson Law Firm, LLC is a tax resolution law firm.  It was founded in Lafayette in 2001 by Cary and Angie Bryson, a husband and wife team with over 50 years of combined legal experience. The Firm is known for its Southern hospitality and family-oriented style. It specializes in tax and focuses 100% on helping Louisiana individuals and businesses solve their IRS, state, and local tax problems. The Bryson team is made up of several attorneys, CPAs, Enrolled Agents and accountants who take a holistic team-approach to serving and helping their clients get out of tax trouble, and stay out of tax trouble. The Firm has full-service offices in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Metairie, New Orleans, and Shreveport.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Our employees say it best:

“I don’t believe that you will find the talent and commitment of employees elsewhere. Clients frequently tell us how good we are with communication. At most law firms you do not get to speak or meet with the attorneys like you do here.”  (John, Attorney)

“Our clients and staff make us different. We have so many people who come to us from all walks of life, and we are willing to help anyone who will let us. This is a team effort – there is no ‘us against them’ or vice versa. Without each other neither of us would be successful.” (Angelle, Operations Manager)

“Us! We have a pretty awesome team here at Bryson! This group has been prayed for and hand selected, with lots of time, energy, and prayer going into the training process. These are some first-class people, who are servant-hearted, kind, smart, detail-oriented, and helpful. I could go on and on; our people make us special, and this makes anyone’s experience with us special.” (Jessica T., Attorney)

“I think what makes us special is the work environment that Cary and Angie have created. Everyone is so positive and helpful, and that enables us to work together to the fullest extent. There is a true feeling of inclusiveness that motivates everyone to do the best that they possibly can. Working here is special because you don’t feel like you are working FOR Cary and Angie; you feel like you are working WITH them. It’s special to be able to work somewhere that makes you feel like family.” (Rebekah, Accountant/Case Manager)

3. What are you most proud of?

Again, our employees say it best:

“We genuinely care about our clients. They aren’t just a number here. A lot of people have a bad view of attorneys, and I find myself telling them we are different.” (Katie, Accountant/Case Manager)

“I am proud of the integrity that is shown here daily. It takes strength for our clients to admit that they have a problem which can seem overwhelming and embarrassing, and it takes a team with integrity to respond and react to help. We do just that every day!”  (Angelle, Operations Manager)

My favorite thing about this company is that we are faith-based and committed to servicing our clients. (Kayla, Enrolled Agent/Retired IRS Revenue Officer)

“I’m most proud of the integrity and transparency of our attorneys with our clients. We take a subject like taxes which is numbers oriented, and put a focus on the people behind the numbers. We emphasize fairness and communication with each and every client. We are free from judgment! (Jessica C., Business Development Coordinator)

“I am proud of the hard work and dedication that every employee exhibits regardless of their position. We are truly dedicated to our clients and treat them like family by going above and beyond to let them know that they are in good hands. I am also proud of the Brysons for being so genuine. They have upheld their faith and values through every aspect of the business. I feel like it is common for people in this industry to lose sight of why they started — to help people. The Brysons have never lost sight of that, and continue to instill their faith and values into every aspect of their Firm. (Rebekah, Accountant/Case Manager)

4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

Our 10-year-plan is to continue to serve and grow our existing locations in Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Metairie, New Orleans and Shreveport. In addition, we intend to have full-service locations open in all other major cities in Louisiana – Alexandria, Covington/Mandeville, Houma/Thibodeaux, Lake Charles and Monroe. This will help us to further our mission: “To serve our Louisiana neighbors by helping to solve their IRS, state and local tax issues with compassion and care.” Being close to our clients enables us to meet their needs through personal attention and provides for effective face-to-face communication.

5. 1A is “Focused on Forward” – meaning we are taking an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are Focused on Forward, too! What does Focused on Forward mean to you? How is your company Focused on Forward?

For us, Focused on Forward means improving the community by continuing to be different in our marketplace. We believe our community (and every community) needs local businesses that maintain integrity, compassion, and commitment to service.

We will continue to spread our mission daily to our clients by being attentive to them, listening careful, and never judging their situations. We will continue to be truly interested in their life stories. We will continue to solve their tax problems professionally and effectively so they can also contribute back to their own communities. We will continue to minister to them personally by sending them thank you cards, get well cards, sympathy cards when loved ones pass away, and praying for their needs as a team. While these gestures may seem simple and trivial, our clients tell us that they are impactful, and we know that they make a difference because “small things matter”!

We will also continue to teach (free of charge) local Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, businesses and other service-oriented organizations and associations about what we do and how we do it. We will also continue to teach free continuing education seminars to fellow attorneys and accounting professionals about tax solutions for clients who may be having issues. By teaching and sharing our experiences this way we hope to spread the word that tax problems do not have to ruin lives or cause businesses to shut down – both of which directly and indirectly affect our community greatly.
