1A committees provide opportunities to deliver results on the core strategies of The Campaign for One Acadiana. These groups meet regularly to help drive the discussion on how to improve our community and quality of life, while growing your business. Below are five One Acadiana committees available for member participation:
2016 Focus: To discuss what it means to be a member of One Acadiana, more opportunities for engagement, and how involvement will shape the future of our nine-parish region.
Meeting Time: The last Wednesday of each month, from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
2016 Focus: Implement a common vision for increasing student achievement and preparedness in our community.
Meeting time: The third Thursday of each month, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
2016 Focus: To partner with regional stakeholders to develop strategies for achieving Acadiana's infrastructure priorities, including a long-term action plan for building I-49 South.
Chairman: David Mann, Chairman, I-49 South Coalition and Doug Place, CFO, Dupré Logistics
Meeting time: The second Tuesday each month, from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
2016 Focus: To accelerate efforts to create business-led workforce solutions for the region.
Chairman: Natalie Harder, Chancellor, South Louisiana Community College
Meeting time: The third Tuesday of each month, from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Urban Revitalization and Development
2016 Focus: To accelerate efforts to revitalize the urban core by catalyzing the development of high-impact projects.
Chairman: Steven Hebert, CEO, Billeaud Companies
Meeting time: The third Tuesday of each month, from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m
