1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

Firefly started out in the late 90s by designing and developing some of Louisiana’s very first websites. Firefly published proprietary software that made it easy for businesses to translate their business from the books to the digital space. We keep that same notion and have grown and evolved as technology and the marketing industry has. We’re steadfast in delivering marketing tactics and solutions that make sense and scale with our clients.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Being in such a tech-heavy space means that our team has to adapt, and adapt quickly, to changes in softwares, algorithms, platforms, etc. It’s truly never a boring job, never a boring day, and I think that not only makes our team super special, but it also makes us strong in our nature to pivot when we need to.

3. What are you most proud of?

I’ve been with Firefly for nearly 7 years now and I can say whole-heartedly that we’ve come so far as a team and as a company. The growth within ourselves, our relationships with our coworkers, our continued progress within our service-lines, and our blossomed relationships with our clients is unmatched. I’m so proud to be part of a team that genuinely does good work and cares about not only the process and product, but about the people it’s serving.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

In 10 years! I’m so excited to see how much technology has evolved and how that’ll influence digital marketing. Our main service lines as of now are websites, SEO, social media, and paid advertising – and I’m assuming in 10 years time the online space is going to be much more competitive, much more expensive, and an even bigger facet of people’s business. And as for the future, I/we intend on evolving with technology and with our clients.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

Impact, for me, means that the work you’re doing matters to other people. Essentially, what you’re providing/building/doing isn’t just busy work, it’s meaningful work. Over the years Firefly has partnered with various non-profits that have a purpose at the core of their organization. These partnerships usually include some sort of sweat equity on Firefly’s part which you can see play out very soon at NOLA’s Beignet Fest on September 23rd!
