1. Give us a brief history of your organization.
Established in 2009, Mosquito Joe started as a small business in the Virginia Beach area. Over the years, that business has grown into a nationally known franchise and a Neighborly Brands company. For Mosquito Joe of Lafayette, 2023 will be our first season servicing the greater Acadiana area. We are proud to bring this storied brand to our own “backyard”. Though we are a franchise, we are locally owned and operated. When you use our services, our technicians treating the yard will be members of your community. When you call our office, you will speak to someone born and raised in Acadiana. This means that we can provide the quality, personable services of a small business while still having the industry leading knowledge, products, and resources of a successful franchise.
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
It’s all in the details! We truly care about the customer’s experience, which is why we make sure to go above and beyond with our service. Though our products are top of the line, it’s our attention to detail that makes our service so effective. We understand that our customers take pride in their yards, and each yard may need to be treated in a specific way. Our job is to successfully treat their outdoor space, allowing our customers to enjoy their yard more often without having to worry about being bitten.
3. What are you most proud of?
Even though we are only in our first year, I am most proud of the relationships we are building with the customers in our community. There is nothing better than hearing how a customer was able to enjoy a weekend in their yard with their friends, family, or pets. When a customer has a crawfish boil, birthday party, or other event – we take pride in knowing that they trust in us to treat the area prior.
4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
In 10 years’ time, I’d like Mosquito Joe to be Acadiana’s first choice when considering treatment options for their yard. I see us being a reliable and effective option for our customers, with the resources and industry knowledge to grow without sacrificing quality. We currently service the Acadiana area, and that’s where our focus will remain in the years to come. We will continue to offer our great service, all while staying current with the industry’s latest advancements in product offerings.
5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?
At Mosquito Joe, our motto is “Outside is Fun Again.” Getting rid of mosquitoes is not our only focus, it’s a by-product of what we do and how we do it. Our main goal is to get our customers outside and enjoying their yards, making memories and spending time with the people and pets that mean the most to them. We make an impact by living out our motto, and always putting our customers’ well-being first.
