One Acadiana President and CEO Jason El Koubi has been selected for a prestigious leadership honor by the French-American Foundation.

Each year, the foundation, which has worked for 36 years out of offices in New York and Paris to build strong ties between France and the U.S., selects highly accomplished individuals under the age of 40 from business, government, journalism, academia and culture who reflect the future of the two nations. 

Lafayette Parish Mayor-President Joel Robideaux announced that Mark Dubroc, President of Dubroc Engineering, will leave the private sector to serve as Director of the LCG Public Works Department, effective July 17.

Communication Award of Excellence Announced for Regional Publication

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has named Dr. Vindell Washington as chief medical officer.

Washington most recently served as national coordinator for health care information technology in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He was also president of the medical group at the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge for more than seven years, overseeing 500 medical providers and 1,400 employees. Washington also served as vice president of performance excellence and technology and chief medical information officer there.

Acadian Ambulance founder Richard Zuschlag say this region's loyal and dedicated workforce has been the key to success 

Richard Zuschlag, for a half-century a Northern transplant in Lafayette, said the success of the $500 million company he co-founded here resides in the loyalty, dedication and grit of the Acadiana workforce.

"It's hard to find people who work harder," Zuschlag told an audience at One Acadiana's Lessons from the Corner Office series Friday. "We've been successful because of the employees."
