Established in 2013 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Waitr is the premiere Restaurant Technology Platform. Our mission is to develop the local food culture for communities across the United States.
Here at One Acadiana (1A), members of the Acadiana business community often look to us for insight on policy and governmental affairs issues, especially leading up to elections where votes can impact on our region’s economic trajectory.

Lafayette, LA – Financial holding company IBERIABANK will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2017 Entrée to Business Breakfast with Dr. Loren Scott as he gives his much-anticipated Louisiana Economic Outlook. The annual event, now hosted by One Acadiana (1A), will return to DoubleTree by Hilton on October 17.

An enhanced geographic information system is giving prospective investors in Acadiana new insights into available property in this region.

Anne Falgout, executive director of Vermilion Economic Development Alliance, says her agency is using the “sophisticated new tool” to help real estate agents and property owners to tout the assets of their sites. The public can scan information about available property and buildings online and better visualize them as a match for their interests.

In addition to assisting local businesses with their needs, the Vermilion Economic Development Alliance is tasked with helping potential businesses find a place to be successful in the parish.

Since its inception, VEDA has worked with real estate agents and property owners to catalog land and buildings to be shared with interested parties. Now, through a partnership with One Acadiana and allies throughout the region, VEDA has a sophisticated new tool to help them in this process.

SLCC’s recently built Health and Science Building strikes a bold image in Lafayette. This piece of architecture, constructed by The Lemoine Company, represents many things. Foremost, it represents the community college’s expanding role in educating and training Acadiana’s future workforce. For Lenny Lemoine, CEO of The Lemoine Company, it also symbolizes his commitment to growing the region’s potential.

Give us a brief history of your company

Broussard Poché, LLP started out as a small firm in Crowley, LA in 1953.  Since then, we’ve continued to expand throughout the place we call home, Acadiana.  You can find our tax, audit and consulting offices in Lafayette, New Iberia, and Crowley.
