 Troy Wayman has been named the new leader of One Acadiana and he intends to help improve economic development in Acadiana.

On the job less than 2 months, Wayman comes to Acadiana from Mobile, Alabama, where he was the Vice President of Economic Development for the Mobile Chamber of Commerce.

He says he immediately was attracted to the people of Acadiana and was impressed with of those associated with One Acadiana.

As discussions regarding drainage and stormwater management in Acadiana continue, and regional and local officials are identifying projects for funding, 1A is connecting the public and private sectors to engage and inform the community.

LAFAYETTE, LA -- After more than two years of community outreach, research and planning, the draft action plan for redeveloping neighborhoods along the Evangeline Thruway Corridor will be shared in public meetings led by the Evangeline Thruway Redevelopment Team (ETRT).

Representatives from Lafayette Consolidated Government, the Evangeline Corridor Initiative (ECI) professional consulting team and the ETRT will be on hand to answer questions at two Open House events:
