The Iberia Economic Development Authority, in conjunction with One Acadiana and Iberia Parish Government, announced Tuesday morning the certification of Progress Point in Iberia Parish. 

The announcement came at the IEDA office in downtown New Iberia, with local public officials and One Acadiana members present to celebrate the announcement. The site is the second certified site in Iberia Parish, along with the Acadiana Regional Airport. 

Today, Iberia Economic Development Authority with One Acadiana (1A) and CLECO announced that a 45.29-acre site along Highway 90 has been certified under the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Certified Sites program.

After the release of LEAP scores recently, One Acadiana is optimistic that the improvement of 8 out of 9 parishes in our area will make Acadiana more attractive for business. Click play to hear what they had to say!

BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT) announced today that BB&T Insurance Holdings, Inc. (BB&T Insurance) has completed its acquisition of Regions Insurance Group (Regions Insurance) from Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE: RF). Terms were not disclosed.

One Acadiana's President and CEO Troy Wayman stopped by "Acadiana's Morning News" on Monday to talk about the work going on at the chamber.

Wayman says even though it's summer, the works never stops to promote our Acadiana region.

The Chamber President says they have been working hard to designate certified sites within each parish that are ready for development.

Osland one of 21 nationwide selected to participate

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (July 27, 2018) — Anna Osland, One Acadiana Policy Manager, has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) to study education attainment along with 20 chamber of commerce professionals from communities throughout the United States.
