Acadiana SHRM HR Professional of the Year

Lafayette, LA— The Acadiana Society for Human Resource Management (ASHRM) has named its Human Resource Professional of the Year— Randolph “Rudy” Comeaux, VP of Organizational Development & People at The Lemoine Company.

Comeaux joined the Lemoine Company in January 2008 as an Operations Intern while studying Construction Management at LSU. Upon graduation in May 2008 he was hired as an Office Engineer and moved into the Director of HR role in January of 2015.

Hiring and mentoring interns has been a passion of his throughout his career. His nominator, Julia Daigle, can attest to this. Speaking on the influence he had on her development as a human resources professional, she says, “Rudy has transformed the internship experience for myself and the other HR interns we have on staff, as we have experience in training in development, creating a corporate university, benefits, employee engagement initiatives, leading the wellness charter team, on-boarding employees, and recruiting and interviewing new hires. I don't know anyone else in my major who has accumulated such a large amount of experience in such a short time.”

Comeaux had a significant role in the development of Lemoine’s Engineering Advancement program, their corporate university, strategic planning and a new performance management system.

Comeaux’s investment in people extends to the community where he serves on the City Year of Baton Rouge board and mentors for the Boys & Girls Club. He has taught at UL Lafayette and currently teaches courses at LSU.
