Give us a brief history of your company.
Clean Juice was founded in 2014 in Charlotte, NC by Kat and Landon Eckles when they saw a true need missing in the marketplace. When researching juice bars, there were no certified organic options. This was a non-negotiable, so they created Clean Juice. The juice bar has created a fast-casual, healthy concept that people can rely on when they need a quick healthy choice.
What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
Although Acadiana has a hand full of juice bars, we are the only one in our area and the only franchise in the United States that is USDA certified organic. This means we aren’t just organic some of the time and not just “when we can.” We choose to be organic because we believe in it. We make it easy to choose organic and get a truly healthy product. People go to juice bars to receive a healthy product, not always knowing that berries, greens, cucumber, ect. can be some of the most highly contaminated foods on the planet. There is a huge difference between drinking an organic juice and a non-organic juice full of chemicals. Organic foods are free of the hidden chemicals and pesticides associated with conventional fruits and vegetables, free of GMOs, and contain significantly higher amounts of antioxidants and other phytonutrients. Our organic certification makes us stand out and we certainly think it makes us the best juice bar out there.
What are you most proud of?
We are very proud of our USDA certification, and truly healthy products. We are also proud to be able to offer our guest these healthy products on the go with our pick-up window. We will be the first franchisee in the company to be able to provide this feature!
Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
In 10 years, I believe our business will be part of a world-wide franchise while maintaining a local juice bar feel for the community we serve.
