Member Spotlight: Holbrook Multi Media

1. Give us a brief history of your company.

Holbrook Multi Media, Inc. is currently a marketing, advertising and production firm with roots going back to 1977, when I opened Just Us Productions with three close friends as a music and jingle production house. We soon gained national attention for our creativity. As the workload thickened, my wife Kim and I bought out partners and changed the company name to Holbrook Media Productions. Utilizing South Louisiana’s vast talent pool allowed the company to become one of the more substantial creative outlets by the early 80s.

This early success put us in position to buy out a major film and production company in Louisiana that had failed. Overnight, our offering grew to include audio, video and film production services. With this expansion came finding a niche in the creation and production of local and regional TV commercials and business video production. We began to provide creative services directly to business clients and ad agencies, which quickly became a substantial profit center for the company.

We changed the name of our company to Holbrook Multi Media, Inc. in the 2000s to better encompass what we do here. We are now seeing growth through marketing services, content creation, production and rentals.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Our company is unique because of the variety of different services we offer, creating and producing results-targeted strategies and productions for all different types of media. Along with the creativity and passion put forth by our entire team, we approach every project with brand positioning strategy, creative content and supportive advertising vehicles such as TV, print, web and social – and it’s all produced in house. Plus, we’re the only company of our type that’s been doing this for over 41 years.

3. What are you most proud of?

I am most proud that our company continues to provide the highest quality production techniques through knowledge of trends in social marketing and the latest in technology, creating success for our clients while remaining on-brand. It’s so rewarding to see what a difference we have made for our clients. I’m also proud that throughout our 41 years of being in business, we have been able to adapt to every change that’s taken place within our industry.

4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

Our plans at Holbrook are to grow through the continued study of marketing trends and opportunities for our clients. We look to guarantee a successful future through marketing science-based content creation and the ownership of many different types of content. This is all to support growth and self-sustainability. We intend to have our finger on the pulse of technological advancement to stay ahead of the curve.

5. 1A is “Focused on Forward” – meaning we are taking an active role of improving the community we live in. Our members are Focused on Forward, too! – What does Focused on Forward mean to you? How is your company Focused on Forward?

Focused on Forward, to me, represents our involvement with local businesses, non-profits, benefits, fairs, festivals and artists. Our clients’ continued success from the services we provide bolsters not only their businesses, but their interaction with other locals within the community. Our business was built and learned to thrive in Southern Louisiana, and for that we will always continue to promote and utilize local talent, events and businesses.
