1. Give us a brief history of your company.

Northshore Moving started in Hammond in 2008 with a pickup truck and trailer delivering furniture for a local furniture store. We now service all of Louisiana for local and long distance moving and delivery utilizing our full fleet of professional delivery and moving trucks.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Our company has been so busy moving families to and around Acadiana over the past few years that we decided to add a permanent location. We are excited to help grow the economy and add a service that provides value and dedication. We’re not sure this makes us special, but we are sure that Acadiana is a special place and Northshore Moving Company is excited to be a part of it!

3. What are you most proud of?

There tends to be a bad stigma for moving companies. We have prided ourselves in making a difference in people's lives by changing minds and expectations on what a moving company can provide. Our favorite story is of one of the first families we ever moved. They had lived in their home for 12 years. The relocation was hard on their two children who were having to say goodbye to everything and everyone they knew. Two weeks after we moved them, we received a call thanking us for making the move seamless and stress free. That’s what we’re proud of, letting families focus on starting new roots without the stress of putting the house back together.

4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

Changing client expectations, employee expectations, technology developments, and other external factors are changing the nature of the service industry and skills required in the future. We are building Northshore Moving Company in that manner. Having a long-term outlook means that we can focus on building the entire industry and not just our business.

5. 1A is “Focused on Forward” – meaning we are taking an active role of improving the community we live in. Our members are Focused on Forward, too! What does Focused on Forward mean to you? How is your company Focused on Forward?

We’re the bolder and re-energized version of your traditional moving company. As we continue to expand, we are in the process of building out a new solution that no other moving company is bringing to this market. We’re committed to contributing to Acadiana by expanding and investing in the local economy
