The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 100 years of serving the businesses of Vermilion Parish. Join us as we celebrate with our Centennial Celebration and Awards Banquet. The event will be held on Thursday, January 30 at Magdalen Place in Abbeville, LA from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
Established in 1920, the Vermilion Chamber of Commerce strives to fulfill its mission of creating a positive business and community environment. Representing members from the communities of Abbeville, Delcambre, Erath, Gueydan, Kaplan and Maurice, the Vermilion Chamber has served as a resource for greater visibility, connections, and knowledge making Vermilion Parish a great place to live, work, play and raise a family.
The event will celebrate the legacy of the Chamber as well as recognize some of the area’s outstanding businesses and individuals through their annual Membership Awards. This year’s winners include:
Customer Service Award: Brasseux’s Hardware
Forward Vermilion Award: Twin Parish Port Commission
Vermilion Vigor Award: Megan Landry-Lalande
High Impact Young Professional: Ashley Foreman
Business of the Year: Gulf Coast Bank
“We’re incredibly excited to reflect on past successes and focus on our goals for the future,” says 100th Chamber President Megan Landry-Lalande. “You only make 100 once. We’re planning a huge celebration that highlights those who helped us achieve this accomplishment as well as those who will continue to move us forward.”
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best festive, cocktail attire for walking the red carpet and will enjoy dinner catered by Bon Temps Grill and entertainment featuring Alligator Blue. Tickets are on sale now for $40 until Jan. 21st and will be available for $50 after the early bird deadline.
