Member Spotlight: Vital Integrators

1. Give us a brief history of your company.

Our mission at Vital Integrators is to provide a personal and accurate service to our clients by helping both businesses and end users fully utilize technology to enhance day to day operations while focusing on cyber security to manage and limit risk associated with business operations. Prior to 2019, Vital Integrators operated under the name, Computer F/x. We have long been in the IT service industry since the early 90’s but as more technologies began merging together and our areas of expertise kept growing by adding staff, we made the decision to change our name to more fully match what we do on a day to day basis. We felt Computer F/x did not fully articulate to our clients everything that we can do for them. Adding Video, Audio, and Lighting services to our portfolio, we know we will be able to be an even greater asset to our existing customers and future customers alike. To our clients, VITAL stands for Video, IT, Audio and Lighting but internally to our staff, it stands for Vision, Integrity, Teamwork, Attitude, and Leadership. Vital Integrators is owned by Paul Mancuso who fills the role of President and Chief Executive Officer or as we like to call the “Visionary” and Brandi Gwin who is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer or the “Integrator.” Together they share the responsibility of customer satisfaction and managing the affairs of the business.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

We are unique in what we offer by focusing first on IT infrastructure and Managed Services built around Cyber Security. Many companies overlook the very crucial part of security when it comes to their IT environment. What makes us different is we also have the expertise to handle any Audio, Video, and Lighting systems. Those industries have been migrating more to work using networking and IT infrastructure. In addition to small conference rooms, we do large format installs for churches and auditoriums with a focus on making those system run in conjunction with their IT infrastructure. During the recent Covid-19 issues, many churches and businesses had to transition to remote meetings and online streaming and we were able to help meet those demands. Making these systems work together and keeping them secure is a challenge but something we have gone through great lengths to perfect our system and processes.

3. What are you most proud of?

I think for us, it is identifying an effective strategy for our clients. All of our clients are unique and we are most proud of identifying ways our clients can be more efficient. IT is such an intimate part of business operations and trust is a huge part of what we do. To be able to sit at the table of some of the great companies and organizations in our area is humbling and we do not take that responsibility lightly. It is a great feeling to give our input in a client’s business and teach them how to utilize technology to become more efficient while keeping them secure.

4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

At Vital Integrators we believe strongly in teamwork and partnerships. We prefer to call our clients partners because we see them as a strategic partner in what we do for them but also have the ability to glean from the years of experience they have. We want to keep building those partnerships and adding to our team in a predictable growth that we can both benefit from. Vision is a core value to us and that means having goals for our own business but also helping set goals for our clients as well. In ten years, we plan to have our own building, built by one of our clients and keep our staff growing together. We are as successful as the team we have in place and growing together is an important part of our future.

5. 1A is “Focused on Forward” – meaning we are taking an active role of improving the community we live in. Our members are Focused on Forward, too! What does Focused on Forward mean to you? How is your company Focused on Forward?

Focused on forward is such a great quote and rings true to our first core value of Vision. Identifying ways to move our company, industry, and community forward. To sum it up for myself it means to be better today than you were the day before. One of the ways we give back is through The Vital Foundation. Our mission at The Vital Foundation is to build lives from the ground up starting with a solid foundation. We are an organization that helps make the connection between a community of people eager to help others to those in the community deserving and willing to do the work to build a vital foundation!
