LAFAYETTE, La. – With the holiday shopping season fast approaching, One Acadiana (1A) is encouraging the community to shop locally and support the small businesses that keep the regional economy thriving, which is more important than ever during this tumultuous year.

To help give small businesses a boost, 1A launched the new “Shop Acadiana” campaign that aims to support small businesses throughout the holiday season.

“We want the small business community to know we are squarely in their corner,” said One Acadiana President and CEO Troy Wayman. “It is important to remember our friends, neighbors, and their families are running these businesses. They are the backbone of our community. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to support them during the holiday season, including using our voice to amplify their efforts.

“The ‘Shop Acadiana’ campaign is central to 1A’s commitment to creatively support our member and investor business during this challenging time,” Wayman added. “Over the next several weeks, we’ll be sharing their stories and spotlighting small retailers on our social media and encouraging the community to shop safe and shop local.”
