1. Give us a brief history of your company.
I specialize in land and commercial development real estate working directly with investors from various professional industries who seek to grow in Lafayette, Louisiana, however, our company has a nationwide reach. I take pride in making deals happen for those who seek growth in their business and within my beloved Lafayette.
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
From what I gather from those who are close to me, in life and in business, I am someone with great integrity who puts service to others first. I love helping people, which is fostered directly from my spiritual life. When it comes to selling real estate, I view it as economic development opportunities for my community. If I do my job well, then I aid in creating more jobs for Lafayette, and that to me is my goal with every transaction.
This way of thinking comes from one of my many mentors, Zig Ziglar: “If you help enough people get what they want, you will have everything you want”.
3. What are you most proud of?
I am proud of all of the blessings this life has given me. I’m proud of my wife, my family, my friends, and the community I’m born and raised in.
I am proud of the fact that I have never given up on any of my pursuits throughout my life. I’m tenacious, and relentless no matter how many times I’ve fallen down, I get right back up, and on towards the goal.
Being recognized as Ambassador of the year in 2011 and 2012, when I was an ambassador at the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, is a big highlight in my career that I am very proud of. In my time there I connected with the right people for the right reason, and going above and beyond for them is the reason for my success.
My motto in life is: “Make it happen!” and with the help of God, my family, my friends, I have made my motto into a goal I’m blessed to continue to reach.
4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
I see my business as one of exponential growth through all of the people I continue to connect with every day. When I say “connect” with people, I’m talking about fostering relationships that are long-lasting and connections that can be nurtured over time- where business associates become my friends and friends that then become advocates.
This take on networking, along with time, plus my tenacity – I see a bright future ahead, God willing.
5. 1A is “Focused on Forward” – meaning we are taking an active role of improving the community we live in. Our members are Focused on Forward, too! – What does Focused on Forward mean to you? How is your company Focused on Forward?
Going back to what I’ve discussed previously, my business is about creating economic opportunity for my clients that in turn brings economic growth to Lafayette.
Focused on Forward means, to me, a brighter future for Acadiana. We can attain this by being smart about what and how we develop in our community, by bringing the right people together that benefits my clients and Acadiana as a whole.
Furthermore, not only does it help to inspire growth in our community, but also to tell the world of it. We live in an incredible place, and I am very active in spreading the word. This I do through my network of contacts, and through social media channels like ‘Why Acadiana?”
