One Acadiana holding webinar on state's tourism post COVID-19

LAFAYETTE, La. — One Acadiana announced on Friday that it will host a webinar on Louisiana’s tourism economy will look like after the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

One Acadiana says it has partnered with regional business resource including LEDA, Opportunity Machine, Downtown Development Authority, Louisiana Small Business Center at UL Lafayette, Acadiana Workforce Solutions, Acadiana Planning Commission, United Way of Acadiana, and other local chambers and economic development offices for the vent.

One Acadiana says this is an ongoing webinar series that will feature timely and relevant information designed to help businesses navigate the COVID-19 crisis.

The Louisiana’s Tourism Economy Post-COVID-19 webinar will feature Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser, Randy Daniel of La Pizzeria Lafayette, Jimmy Thackston of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Lafayette and Ben Berthelot of LCVC as presenters.

One Acadiana states that this webinar will address issues such as how restaurants and hotels that depend on tourism can handle cancellations and restrictions from COVID-19, and some of the biggest challenges that tourism officials see for the future of the industry.

The webinar is free, but registration is limited to 300 participants. A recording of the webinar and presentation material will be available the following day at OneAcadiana.org/COVID-19-Resources.
