One Acadiana is partnering with One Acadiana, LEDA, DDA, United Way of Acadiana, and other local chambers and economic development offices to launch “Acadiana to Geaux,” a social media campaign designed to rally support for local restaurants throughout the nine-parish region of Acadiana.
The campaign is in response to the significant economic impact the COVID-19 crisis is having on the regional economy.
The community is encouraged to order takeout, delivery, or curbside meals on Thursday, April 9, post photos of their meals to social media, and tag their favorite restaurants with the hashtag #AcadianaToGeaux.
“Restaurants are battling unprecedented challenges at this time,” said One Acadiana President and CEO Troy Wayman. “Their grit and perseverance to keep our community safe and fed during this crisis is inspiring. One way to show support for our restaurant community is by participating in #AcadianaToGeaux this Thursday, April 9.”
“If you’re able, consider ordering at least one meal from your favorite neighborhood restaurant on Thursday. Let’s band together to spread the word and show our support for Acadiana’s eateries.” Wayman added.
