Our Lady of Lourdes names new leader

Kathleen Healy-Collier will take over as the market president for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System's Acadiana region and will join the ministry Feb. 22.

In her new role, Healy-Collier will lead the 328 beds at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Women’s & Children’s, Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital, the Lourdes Physician Group and the services offered by Our Lady of Lourdes and its partners and locations.

Before agreeing to join Our Lady of Lourdes, Healy-Collier was the chief operating officer at SHS St. John’s Hospital and St. John’s Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. She has more than 20 years in operational roles, including working as the COO at the 650-bed Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama, and as the executive/administrative director of operations and systems at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis for 15 years.

Healy-Collier has experience with finance, revenue cycles, technology and strategy. She has also served as teaching faculty for health care graduate programs. She has a doctorate and a master's degree in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and the University of Memphis, respectively.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics/Management from Saint Louis University.'
