1. Give us a brief history of your company.
OMNI was founded in 1987 as a drilling services provider to the geophysical industry. In the 35 years since our inception, our service capability and geographic footprint have expanded and evolved. Today, as OMNI Environmental Solutions, we provide transportation and environmental cleaning and disposal services to offshore GoM and onshore operators throughout the Gulf Coast, and in prolific oil and gas plays in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
We’ve been through numerous boom and bust cycles, but we have persevered. We attribute our resiliency to our dedicated, hardworking, innovative, safety-focused, solutions-minded employees — who continually RISE to the occasion. (Our RISE values: respect, integrity, safety, and excellence, guide how we perform our business, treat each other and interact in the communities in which we operate.)
3. What are you most proud of?
We are proud of our Louisiana roots and our Louisiana base. We are first and foremost a Louisiana corporation. Throughout our growth and expansion and prolonged downturns in our industry, we have maintained our Carencro corporate headquarters and our community presence. We are proud of each employee that has helped us thrive, expand and grow beyond our initial vison.
4. Where do you see your business in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
We will continue to evolve as our industry evolves. We see opportunities to pursue new service capabilities as our industry repositions itself. Technology advances will help us improve operational efficiencies and our research and development focus will ensure that we are on the cutting edge of whatever the future holds.
5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?
We currently employee more than 200 Louisianians. We are committed to being a community partner in the cities and towns where we live, work and play. Our employees are actively involved in numerous community service organizations, including arts, social services, education, athletic, environmental and many others.
