1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

Imperian started in 2019 developing the next generation of judicial software. We worked from home and held our planning meetings in public libraries until we were able to move downtown. Today we provide Acadiana businesses and government agencies with outstanding tech consulting and custom software development as we continue development on our platform.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Imperian is different because of our powerful cloud-based blockchain platform. Our systems allow employees to work from anywhere while protecting them from the latest threats online, offering a unique layer of immutable data protection.

3. What are you most proud of?

Our Covid response. When Covid hit, we were able to transition our clients to 100% remote work practically overnight. Our clients experienced no downtime as their businesses were fundamentally transformed. Additionally, we were able to stand up a new app from concept to production in 7 days that connected a nationwide network of seamstresses to people in need of PPE. Our app enabled over 250,000 masks to be delivered to hospitals and nursing homes during the shortage.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

We hope to continue to serve Acadiana and beyond as our next-generation platform revolutionizes the way critical data is processed.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

Imperian endeavors to directly impact the Acadiana area by increasing efficiency and transparency in government agencies, specifically the justice system. We feel that many government functions are better performed by automated systems. In private business, automation increases profit but in the justice system, automation increases fairness, fights corruption, saves lives and restores faith in our institutions. This is how we intend to impact Acadiana.
