1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

PostNet opened on June 16, 2021 as a family-owned and operated franchise. Donnie has over 20 years of Procurement and Sales experience. Dana has over 20 years of Accounting, HR and Administrative experience with non-profit organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana and Respire Haiti. Recently, we found ourselves at a crossroads in our careers and felt the time was right to start our own business. After much prayer and careful consideration, we invested in our PostNet franchise. We felt this business would give us the best opportunity to work together as a family and it was one that would allow each of us to utilize our individual strengths and provide the highest level of customer service.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

From a franchise standpoint, our offerings make us a one-stop shop for everyone from individual consumers to small business owners and large corporations. We can design, create, and print anything. Then, if you need, we can ship it anywhere in the world. We can even receive and manage your incoming mail and packages, safely and securely.

While all these things are great, what truly makes us special is our service. Because we are family-owned, when you come in, you deal with the owners of the business. We are very engaged and treat every customer as if they were part of our family. We have one rule as employees: No one is allowed to say ‘No.’ We will always exhaust every option to take care of our customers. Our success depends on our customers and we are not afraid to let them know it.

3. What are you most proud of?

We are most proud of our resilience and faith in each other. Starting a business is extremely challenging, particularly after the setbacks we encountered over the past two years. We have invested much our savings and retirement funds into this business and are determined to succeed and share that success as a family.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

We plan to be known in the Acadiana area for providing superior design, printing, and shipping services to everyone. We plan to make PostNet a household name in the Lafayette community. Once our reputation is established, we plan to open additional PostNet centers in the surrounding areas.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

Making an impact means changing the way things have always been done. So much of our particular industry has moved online or to large chain stores. We feel this is because consumers have lost the value that they would typically get from shopping a local small business. We want to bring that value back by focusing heavily on providing good old-fashioned customer service and making our customers feel appreciated.
