1. Give us a brief history of your organization.
J&S TAX PROS was founded in Jan. of 2012 By Jason Jones and the late Sherressa Faulk [August 2021]. We started in 2012 with one office with divided cubicles and served 122 tax clients. 10 years later J&S TAX PROS now serves nearly 2,000 tax clients and has employed over 20 tax preparers. J&S TAX PROS now has 3 locations [Lafayette, New Iberia, and Houston].
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
The biggest reasons J&S TAX PROS is special: we give back to the community (We have one of the biggest Christmas give-a-ways in Lafayette.).
-We provide year round services
-We treat all of our customers like family
-We also stay updated on Tax Laws by attending Nationwide Seminars
3. What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the growth of J&S TAX PROS and the positive feedback we get from the community.
4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
I see my company being nationwide in 10 years. I plan to incorporate other businesses such as insurance, credit repair, and payroll in the next 10 years
5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?
Impact is listening to the community we live in and making the appropriate changes to help fix and improve the things needing to be changed. Impact is giving back to the areas needing the help.
J&S TAX PROS, although still a relatively small company, has put together several events in the community to help out the areas in need (funded with our own funds). I decided to join One Acadiana in order to figure out even more ways to be involved throughout Lafayette and surrounding areas.
