1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

In 2014 I started in the insurance industry as an agent focusing on Medicare options and in May of 2022, I opened an office on Verot School Rd and Polly Lane to be the local agency for Acadiana needs. Acadiana Insurance Advisors educates on Medicare and Health Insurance, provides unbiased options, and assists in enrolling into a plan. We provide other resources such as applying for Medicare, Medicaid, help with prescription drugs, and more. More importantly, we are here all year long and outreach to our clients to make sure they are taken care of.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

Each client has needs that are specific to them. We meet with individuals to help them understand all available options, and we make recommendations that meet their lifestyle, medical and financial situations. More importantly, we are available for our clients all year and we have outreach programs to make sure they are cared for, understand and USE their benefits. We are local and have an office on Verot School Rd and PolLy Lane where customers can make an appointment or stop in to ask questions.

3. What are you most proud of?

I am proud of building a team that has the same values as me. They understand what is at stake for a customer medically and financially. My team understands the compassion, empathy, and patience it takes to help the customer and their families in the best way possible. The ability to be a good listener can never be underestimated.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

In 10 years, we plan to have a team with local agents in each region of Louisiana to service all individual needs – young and old – with multiple locations where customers can have a place to walk in and say high and know that they will be taken care of and not taken advantage of. Where they can get the help they need, understand their benefits, and not overpay for those benefits. Also, we will work with nonprofit organizations to help grow awareness of what benefits are available in the community for individuals.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

To me, Impact means creating awareness, being a resource and leaving a legacy to our community. Our company is changing the way seniors, individuals, and families access health insurance by educating them in a way they can understand. With local agents we are also creating an impact on the community by educating what the wrong plan can have on their future.
