1. Give us a brief history of your organization.
Going, Sebastien, Fisher & LeBouef LLP formed as a non-traditional CPA firm in Opelousas in 1948 and have been in Lafayette since 2016. In 2021, we moved to our new permanent Lafayette location at 1700 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Building 5.
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
Our mission is to build our clients’ wealth. With our combined years of experience, we begin by designing tax saving strategies for our individual and business clients. As a Registered Investment Advisor firm established as a fiduciary firm, we are required to adhere to the highest fiduciary standards. Our approach to money management is to manage our clients’ money in the most efficient and effective manner.
3. What are you most proud of?
As a smaller CPA firm, we pride ourselves in our ability to establish close relationships with our clients to help guide them to achieve their financial goals.
4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
We are a small organization and intend to remain so. In 10 years and beyond, we hope to continue to form relationships with certain clients who are searching for personal attention and a close relationship with their advisor.
5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?
1A has been instrumental giving businesses a voice in the community and cultivating economic growth throughout the Acadiana area. We are happy to be a part 1A to help continue building a stronger business community.
