1. Give us a brief history of your organization.
Four years ago, I opened the first Coffee Dash in Maurice. After I was laid off from my mortgage industry job, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to start my dream of opening a coffee shop. Now the opportunity came to open Coffee Dash in Lafayette and here I am. We opened up late 2022.
2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?
Every month we make about 6 seasonal drinks. Our customers get so excited about our monthly specials. We spend all month crafting and perfecting them.
3. What are you most proud of?
I’m proud of the fact that I wanted to be known for having fun, festive and delicious coffee drinks and that I was able to build that reputation.
4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?
My new Lafayette location is the first time we offer and make our own food items. Eventually, I would like to expand with a lunch menu. Eventually offer exciting seasonal breakfast and lunch options.
5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?
Currently in Maurice, we will donate gift cards or coffee items to our local schools or other local functions whether its for a raffle or fundraiser. I would like to do the same for local Lafayette schools.
