1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

Moore Consulting Investment Group, MCIG, was formed in 2007, by Nathaniel Moore. Our first childcare center was purchased in 2011 and was named Little Blessings Childcare & Preschool. As of 2023, we have eight Little Blessings locations as well as two well-known local daycares: Mini Me Learning Academy and Guchereau Learning Academy. In 2015, we purchased our first homecare company: A Blessing Personal Homecare. We now have two additional homecare companies: Home Care Assistance and Adored Homecare.

Our main purpose is acquiring companies in the childcare and healthcare industry to be able to create new opportunities for our team members by promoting growth within our ever-evolving company.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

MCIG is special because of the relationships we have with our families and clients we serve and the team members who help us serve them. First, all of our mid-level management and most of our upper-level management started as base team members and worked their way to the position they are in today. All of our directors on the childcare side were once teachers and all of our administrators on the homecare side were once personal care attendants. We also have eight of our fourteen home office members who have worked as either a teacher or personal care attendant, 3 of which are our on our Executive Team. We highly promote growth within our company through giving opportunities to our team members.

Second, our focus on the relationship building between us and our families and clients we serve help us know the needs and the type of care we need to provide. Consistent and quality care is not only important to the children and clients but also effects their families. We make it a priority that everyone receives great care when they are with us.

3. What are you most proud of?

We are most proud of watching people, who have unrecognized potential, grow and blossom to be able to have an unexpected opportunity that they would have not thought they could accomplish.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

We plan on continuing to grow to provide quality care for our future families and clients in both the childcare and homecare side. With that, we will also be able to continue to create opportunities and higher paying jobs for our team members.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

Impact to us means having some type of lasting impression to someone or something. We are advocates of many local non-profits especially with the foster care system since many of our centers care for foster children. Our mission and vision of our companies impact those we serve, but also helps us become a helping hand to non-profits so that we can be the support they need to accomplish their goals to help make Acadiana better. Not only do we donate and volunteer at multiple local non-profits, but we also facilitate an annual Trunk or Treat event with the partnership of a local non-profit in the Acadiana area.
