Lafayette, LA – One Acadiana (1A) has hired Brendan Dungan as Director of Business Development to lead and manage all business recruitment, retention, and expansion for the nine-parish regional economic development organization.
Dungan previously served as Project Manager for the Missouri Department of Economic Development, where he oversaw economic development opportunities in 32 Central Missouri counties and secured fifteen business development projects totaling 1400 net new jobs and nearly $300 million in new investment. Prior to his role as Project Manager, Dungan served as a Finance Incentive Specialist for Missouri Department of Economic Development.
In his new role, Dungan will be responsible for implementing a five-year strategic plan for regional business development, including business expansion and retention, building and site development, business intelligence, targeted marketing, lead development, and project management.
This position will be funded by The IMPACT Campaign, One Acadiana’s five-year regional economic program that began its implementation in 2020.
A Missouri-native, Dungan received a Bachelor of Arts from Rockhurst University. During his undergraduate studies he focused on Economics and Philosophy. Dungan is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Economics from University of Missouri – Columbia.
Dungan began work in his new role at One Acadiana on Wednesday, February 23.
