Fifteen CEOs from the Acadiana region have been selected to participate in the 2021 CEO Roundtable.

The sixth event, hosted by One Acadiana in collaboration with the Louisiana Economic Development office, will be held Aug. 5. It brings together leaders of Louisiana-based small businesses over the course of the year for a growth-oriented roundtable discussion.

One Acadiana today announced that, in collaboration with Louisiana Economic Development, it will host the sixth cohort of the Acadiana CEO Roundtable program. The 2021 Acadiana CEO Roundtable program will begin on August 5.

The mission of Vermilion Economic Development Alliance (VEDA) is to facilitate business development in Vermilion Parish. The organization provides a robust set of services to existing and potential entrepreneurs alike to sustain and grow the local economy. To provide those services, VEDA relies on contributions from public and private donors. This year VEDA adds local employer Kaptel to their list of supporters.

Lafayette, LA (June 22, 2021) – Gregory Labbe’, Electric Operations Manager at Lafayette Utilities System (LUS), received the Harold Kramer-John Preston Personal Service Award during the American Public Power Association’s National Conference in Orlando, Florida. The award recognizes individuals for their service to the American Public Power Association (APPA).

Lafayette Parish city is 47th community in statewide program

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Today, Louisiana Economic Development recognized Broussard as the state’s newest Louisiana Development Ready Community. The Lafayette Parish municipality becomes the 47th participant in the community development program, now in its 13th year.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — This is the first year that One Acadiana is offering a scholarship to one UL Lafayette and one student SLCC student. The scholarships are helping to achieve One Acadiana’s 55 by 25 initiative.

These scholarships will help to raise the secondary education attainment level to 55% by the year 2025, with the goal of growing our workforce throughout all of Acadiana.

Lourdes acquires naming rights to Cajun Field

Officially, it’s going to be Cajun Field at Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium as Our Lady Of Lourdes made a 15-year, $15 million investment into the athletic department by purchasing naming rights for UL’s soon-to-be renovated football stadium, 50 years after it first opened. In the arms race of facilities in college football, this pushes UL ahead. Said coach Billy Napier: "It will give us an edge in recruiting.
