Our organization comprises colleagues, neighbors and business associates – professionals who’ve made a personal commitment to strengthening Acadiana’s economic standing. Our nine parish partners include: Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Jeff Davis, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion parishes.

We know achieving our region’s full potential will require a collaborative approach, which is why we built an inclusive organization that welcomes all members, investors, and partners to work with us to make Acadiana the best place to live, work, and play.

In 2025, 1A began a new five-year campaign, focused on a set of strategic objectives to push the region forward. Both measurable and accountable, this plan aligns financial and partner organization resources to achieve both synergy and an exponential return on investment.

Becoming One Acadiana

2015 marked a year of transformative change for our organization and for the entire nine-parish One Acadiana region. It was a moment of reflection, vision, and bold action—one that reshaped how we serve businesses, communities, and the regional economy.

In early 2015, The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors set out to build an organization that could energetically advance its long-standing, ambitious mission: to be the leading force in the improvement of the business environment and the economic health and development of the region. Since then, our board and staff have worked diligently to transform our organization from a mostly traditional chamber of commerce into a highly professional and proactive, business-led regional organization: One Acadiana.
