1A’s committees serve as a way to engage members and investors in the collaborative process of driving regional economic growth and community development. By participating in committees, members have the opportunity to engage with key initiatives, provide valuable input on strategic priorities, and actively contribute to One Acadiana’s mission.

Membership Engagement

A ‘Think Tank’ to assist in developing strategies to support the organization’s member recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts. This committee also leads 1A’s scholarship sub-committee, engaging in marketing efforts and guiding the applicant selection process.

Urban Revitalization & Development

Supporting existing plans and efforts to improve the region’s core and gateway corridors while advocating for investments in quality of place.

Transportation & Infrastructure

Advocating for critical investments in Acadiana’s roads & bridges and other regional infrastructure priorities.

Steering 1A’s approach during legislative session(s) and guiding 1A’s engagement on election issues.

Developing support strategies to increase economic growth across the Acadiana Region’s target industries. This committee engages public and private sector leaders on sustaining and improving business climate.
