Jude David, Executive Chairman of Stately Doors and Windows, CEO of Kin Capital Partners, and Partner, Vice President of M&A at Final Ascent, along with business partners Erik Billet and Blake David, has purchased a 58,000-square-foot property at 315 South College Road in central Lafayette. The two-story property has been renamed Stately Plaza, in honor of Kin Capital’s flagship brand, Stately Doors and Windows.

In Stately Plaza, David’s firms Final Ascent and Stately Doors and Windows will share a reception area and a private conference room. Although the companies started by renovating and occupying nearly 4,000 square feet to allow for expansion, both companies have grown so rapidly the space was filled by move-in. The firms are already renovating and expanding into the next suite due to the immense growth, and plans are being drafted for the third expansion. For the use of employees’ children, the office property features a kids’ game room with numerous toys, games, dart board, educational and sorting devices, bean bags, and a television game system. “We find the stress level of office workers is greatly amplified by difficulties of childcare, especially when schools are closed,” says David. “We encourage employees to bring their kids to the office if needed, and we want the kids to have a place where they can feel at home. Now my kids beg me to tag along when I go to the office.” For the adults, a masseuse is located on-site, and the outdoor space includes a courtyard with space for quiet solitude and al fresco dining.

David decided to purchase the property as he felt most office space available for rent in Lafayette was not up to par, and his entities required an ever-increasing amount of space.

“We took a Lafayette landmark, which needed a little TLC, and gave it facelift, restoring it into a building which can make the town and the building’s tenants proud,” said David. Previously, the property’s façade was brown brick, which was recently repainted white with gray trim. The property has also been updated with new interior paint and flooring throughout. A refresh is underway of the bathrooms and landscaping, and a communal gym is under construction.

David was assisted by Scout Real Estate’s Rex Moroux and Jeff Landry in his acquisition of 315 South College Road. Marc McIntyre, leader of Scout’s affiliated construction company, S1 Construction, has managed the interior finish outs and renovations. The acquisition was financed by Jim Lyons and Edward Bienvenu of First National Bank of Louisiana. At the time of purchase, Stately Plaza was 50% occupied, but is now at almost 90% occupancy.

Jude David, a Lafayette native, is a 3-time graduate of LSU, a licensed attorney, M&A executive, and a Father of 6. When not working, he enjoys fishing, boating, rooting for LSU football, and an active participation in his Catholic faith.
