The Lafayette Parish School System is proud to recognize the businesses and organizations that partnered with local schools through the LPSS Adopt-a-School Initiative during the 2025-2026 school year.

Launched this school year, the initiative was designed to strengthen connections between schools and the community while creating new opportunities to support students, teachers, and campuses across Lafayette Parish.

Through the program, community partners assisted schools in a variety of ways, including supporting classroom and campus needs, recognizing students and staff, volunteering at events, and helping create positive learning environments.

“These partnerships help create a stronger school culture by showing students and staff that their community is invested in their success,” said LPSS Superintendent Francis Touchet, Jr.. “The Adopt-a-School Initiative opens doors to new opportunities for our students while helping schools build positive, supportive environments where everyone feels encouraged and connected.” 

The LPSS Adopt-a-School Initiative was created with flexibility in mind, allowing partners to contribute in ways that best fit their organization while making a meaningful impact on local schools.

Businesses and organizations interested in participating in the LPSS Adopt-a-School Initiative during the 2026-2027 school year are encouraged to contact the principal of the school they would like to support.
