2015 marked a year of transformative change for our organization and for the entire nine-parish One Acadiana region. It was a moment of reflection, vision, and bold action—one that reshaped how we serve businesses, communities, and the regional economy.

The Transformation: Becoming One Acadiana

In early 2015, The Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors set out to build an organization that could energetically advance its long-standing, ambitious mission: to be the leading force in the improvement of the business environment and the economic health and development of the region. Since then, our board and staff have been working diligently to transform our organization from a mostly traditional chamber of commerce into a highly professional and proactive, nationally competitive regional economic development organization: One Acadiana.

Serving Lafayette and the Acadiana Region

While One Acadiana is commitment to the growth and development of the entire region, we continue to serve as the central business organization for Lafayette Parish. In this role, we provide leadership on local issues while maintaining the core services and resources businesses expect from a chamber of commerce. This dual focus allows One Acadiana to address both local priorities and regional opportunities—strengthening Acadiana’s economy as a whole.
