Resources for Newcomers

Whether you are a new resident of Lafayette or have returned to the area after spending some time away, we invite you to dive into our resource page and find new ways to get plugged into the city.

Welcome Guide

Stuller recently relocated 8 families from our technology office in Iowa to Lafayette. With the help of the Talent Development team at One Acadiana, we provided personalized tours showcasing Lafayette to our recruits and their families allowing them to learn more about the area. We were able to meet with members of the school board, explore housing options, share our rich history and enjoy some local flavors to “sell” all that this region has to offer. This service is invaluable as Stuller recruits nationally to fill positions in Lafayette.

We’ve Developed Materials to Orient Newcomers to the Acadiana Region

Upon graduation from the University of Louisiana in 2007, I moved out of state in search of work. I learned very quickly that Lafayette, LA, was where I wanted to live and raise a family. While I did move back to Lafayette within a couple years, I still spent the majority of my time traveling out of state for work. My wife and I were seriously contemplating a move until I attended the “Welcome Home” event and found my place at CGI. I couldn’t be happier with the opportunity this event created for me and my family.
