1. Give us a brief history of your organization.

JANUS Resources started in 1992 and became registered with the Secretary of State as an LLC in 2001.

We have been active in Louisiana, Houston, Dallas, and Memphis mostly. We have also served clients in Mississippi, Colorado, and Oklahoma.

We serve business owners and executives who want to improve their leadership impact, their team and business performance, and their work-life balance.

2. What would you tell the rest of Acadiana makes you special?

JANUS Resources is unique because we offer a complete, comprehensive, sound program for companies to improve performance and results at all levels within their organization – to maximize the talents of their leadership and management teams as well as team performance at all levels.

We are unique because of the quality and effectiveness of our programs.  We don’t offer techniques or quick fixes.  We offer executive level education so that companies build an organizational culture that embeds leadership, individual and team effectiveness into their organizational culture through education, strategic planning, and communication.  We focus on implementation, not just education.

3. What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the impact I have had on client results. It has been particularly rewarding that as clients improve leadership, team, and organizational performance, they also begin to improve their levels of satisfaction and fulfillment in their personal lives.

For the business itself, I am very happy with our longevity and product development.  We now have programs for leadership impact, management, organizational culture, and team building.  They are very effective.  Our clients invite us into their business to work with every level of their organization.  We know that a business’s people are its most valuable asset, and we help them maximize the talent of their teams.

This year we established JANUS Resources Leadership Academy, an offering of programs for small- to medium-sized businesses, that enables them to have access to the kind of training that larger companies are able to bring in-house.

4. Where do you see your organization in 10 years? What are your plans for the future?

I see lots of growth for us in the future.

In 10 years, JANUS Resources Leadership Academy will serve our small- and medium-sized businesses throughout Louisiana.  It’s the best way to make our executive level programs available to businesses who cannot contract individually for our services.

I will, of course, continue to serve companies who want to bring us in to work with their entire team.

5. 1A is making an impact as we take an active role in improving the community we live in. Our members are making an impact, too! – What does impact mean to you? How is your company making an impact?

Impact, to me, is making positive improvements in the economic growth and quality of life of an individual, organization, or community.

JANUS Resources, since its founding, has built our brand as THE resource to improve the performance, success, and quality of life of business owners and executives. We work with them to improve all levels of performance of the people in their organization because their people are their most valuable asset.  When they work well in-tandem, so do all the other components within their companies.

Also, as our contribution to our community, we offer a program called Student Success Habits for individuals (students) and school systems to improve the level of Academic Excellence in Louisiana. We work with students to learn how to learn and with their parents to learn how to send their children to school ready, willing, and able to learn.

Academic Excellence in our Louisiana School system is important to me.  This is a special opportunity for me to participate in initiatives to contribute to our educational system.  With sustained Academic Excellence, Louisiana can attract more businesses and larger businesses from more diverse industries into the state.  More of our citizens can stay in Louisiana to grow their families when we attract companies with higher paying jobs.
