January 17, 2023 Lafayette, Louisiana – Rudick Construction Group (RCG) announces the promotion of its former Executive Vice President, Mike Roberts to the position of Chief Operating Officer as the growing multi-state business reorganizes itself to fuel its continued growth. In this new capacity, Roberts will be responsible for maintaining the business’s daily operations, both in the office and in the construction field. Prior to this position, he served the company as Executive Vice President, building and leading our highly regarded Preconstruction Department.
Roberts was selected by CEO, Clay Rudick, playing a critical role in the company’s overarching growth strategy. Since joining the company, Roberts has led vital efforts in the growth from a single office location to a three-market multi-state corporation with local offices in Lafayette, Louisiana, as well as, Austin and Dallas, Texas. The RCG team also congratulates Mike on his recent acceptance into Southern Methodist University’s Executive MBA Program.

The two executives originally met in 2009 on a job site when Clay and Mike, a carpenter by trade, were working alongside each other. After going their separate ways for some time, they reconnected in 2017 to start the Texas arm of Rudick Construction Group. The two men now lead a team of 70+ professionals, landing accolades within the Dallas Business Journal’s Best Places to Work and SMU’s Top 100 fastest-growing companies.
