The $100 million facility, which will be in Carencro, will be the first Amazon fulfillment center in Louisiana.
Edwards called it a "tremendous project win for the State of Louisiana."
"This facility signals a new milestone for Carencro, which has seen significant growth over the past few years," Edwards said.

In April, Lafayette Parish's retail sales figures looked dire. Compared to 2019, sales dropped $72 million, or 16.2%, for the month and were down $89.8 million, or 4.5%, on the year.
