LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – On Friday, February 16th, 2024 SWLA Center for Health Services’ will host the Mobile Market at our Lafayette facility located on 500 Patterson Street Lafayette, LA 70501, from 12pm to 2pm. The Mobile Market will have eggs, fruit, fresh and canned vegetables, rice, and beans available for purchase.
In an effort address food insecurities within our Lafayette community, SWLA Center for Health Services has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank to host the “Makin’ Groceries Mobile Market.” The Mobile Market provides communities with a chance to purchase fresh produce from local farmers from Acadiana, at a significantly discounted price. Food prices are constantly rising and SWLA Center for Health Services is committed to providing every available resource to our patients and community. Come by and take advantage of the fresh and produce at wildly discounted prices.
Here’s just a few items that will be available, and their prices: Eggs – $1.50/dozen, Apples – $1.50/4ct, Oranges – $1.50/4ct, Bell peppers – $0.50/each, Red Onions – $0.50/each, Sweet Potatoes – $1.00/2ct, Tomatoes – $0.50/each, and many, many more!
