The Lafayette Economic Development Authority, along with other economic development groups, have created resources to help businesses and now-unemployed workers who have been hit by COVID-19 and the measures taken to prevent the spread.
One resource is a survey of businesses to see how they have been impacted either by the virus or the mitigation efforts (such as closing restaurant dine-in service, or closing nail salons, movie theaters, and bowling alleys, among others).
The survey — put together by LEDA, One Acadiana, the United Way of Acadiana and economic development groups from Acadiana — asks several questions, including how long a business can weather the impact of the virus and what a business needs to continue operating.
