Lafayette, LA – One Acadiana (1A)’s leadership has announced new appointments to the board. The Board of Directors of the economic development organization and chamber of commerce will focus in 2019 on business development, policy, and membership initiatives.

In October of 2018, the region’s business leaders invested in 1A elected 2019 Officers:

One Acadiana will host its 2019 Regional networking event February 13th.

On February 13, One Acadiana will be hosting its 2019 Regional Celebration. This networking event is considered one of the biggest social gatherings of Acadiana’s business community. Economic development, policy initiatives, and national marketing efforts are a few topics that will be in the spotlight during the event. GMA guests include Troy Wayman, President & CEO, One Acadiana and Sharon Truxillo. All members of the business community are invited to attend and connect with other professional colleagues while witnessing the impact of committing to One Acadiana.

One Acadiana is preparing to kick off their regional celebration on February 13, 2019. The organization is expecting to celebrate the accomplishments of 2018 and highlight the plans for this year. Their large sponsor, Cox Communications, is expected to partner with the organization for the event.

ASHRM was formed in 1978 by local Human Resource Professionals. In February 1980, the organization was chartered with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is a worldwide organization of Human Resource Professionals. Our goal is to provide our local practitioners and business leaders with valuable HR resources and networking opportunities. We currently have over 300 members.
